Cute Finger Monkeys
You might be wondering what in the world is a finger monkey! In fact, its name itself gives it away! First, a finger monkey is a primate. Second, it gets the first part of its name due to it being finger size in length! If you haven’t seen it - well, you’ll have to just believe me! This cute little primate hugs and grips on to your finger so tight that it pulls your heartstrings and you wish you could take it home with you. Finger monkeys are, as a matter of fact, pygmy marmosets. They are also known by the names ‘Pocket Monkey’ and ‘Tiny Lion’. These primates belong to the family Callitrichidae, species Cebuella and genus C. pygmaea. They are native to rain-forests of Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia.

World's Shortest Woman

World's Shortest Woman

The world's shortest woman, Hatice Kocaman,21 who is just 28 inches tall and weighing 15lbs is suffering from a rare bone disease that means, at 21-years-old, she has the body mass of an eight-year-old baby. Guinness World Record has officially granted the title of world's smallest woman to Hatice Kocaman, following to Khagendra Thapa Magar, Nepalese man who is the world’s shortest person at 25.8 inches. More after the break...

21 year old, Ms. Kocaman told “I always hoped that one day the world would recognise me”. “It was hard when I was a child because all my classmates used to tease me for being small. But now I am famous bec ause of my size. So it makes me feel like I am much taller.” And she’s single, fellas! “God made me the way I am and I am proud of that. I hope I can find someone who will love me one day.”

Her mother, Hatun Kocaman said, "There were no problems in my pregnancy with her and I gave birth naturally." "She weighed 3lbs 10oz when she was born and was a normal baby. We never noticed any problems until she was one. Then we noticed she seemed to be growing more slowly than other babies."

Hatun Kocaman, Hatice’s mother said that Aside from her small stature, Hatice is perfectly normal in terms of cognition. Hatice grew normally until about age 1, then her growth slowed down while her walking and talking skills developed like those of her peers.

"God made me the way I am and I am proud of that. I hope I can find someone who will love me one day", said Hatice.

Hatice’s dwarfism, related to a rare bone disorder, was only diagnosed by physicians a few years ago.

Mini Car for Mini People (4 pics)

Mini Car for Mini People
Short people have a lot of problems, including their small stature and difficulties of driving a real car. Most cars don’t allow such people reaching the steering wheel, pedals and accessing gear. They feel like “lilliputs”, but finally, one of the world’s largest car manufacturers paid attention at their problems.

Volkswagen started manufacturing mini-car models in the 80’s. The first model was called Gol. Its latest version was made in Brazil in 2008. VW Mini-Gol is about 30% the size of the original Golf. Its length is 2.25 meters. This vehicle is ideal for people whose height is up to 150 centimeters. Car’s engine can reach 5.5 horsepower. Its maximum speed is 27 kilometers per hour.(Source)

Too unfit to run: Two-year-old who smokes 40 cigarettes a day puffs away on a toy truck

Taking a deep drag on his cigarette while resting on the steering wheel of his truck, he looks like a parody of a middle-aged lorry driver.

But the image covers up a much more disturbing truth: At just the tender age of two, Ardi Rizal's health has been so ruined by his 40-a-day habit that he now struggles to move by himself.

The four-stone Indonesia toddler is certainly far too unfit to run around with other children - and his condition is set to rapidly deteriorate.

His mother, Diana, 26, wept: 'He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick.'

But, despite local officials' offer to buy the Rizal family a new car if the boy quits, his parents feel unable to stop him because he throws massive tantrums if they don't indulge him.

His mother, Diana, 26, wept: 'He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick.'

Ardi will smoke only one brand and his habit costs his parents £3.78 a day in Musi Banyuasin, in Indonesia's South Sumatra province.

But in spite of this, his fishmonger father Mohammed, 30, said: 'He looks pretty healthy to me. I don't see the problem.'

Ardi's youth is the extreme of a disturbing trend. Data from the Central Statistics Agency showed 25 per cent of Indonesian children aged three to 15 have tried cigarettes, with 3.2 per cent of those active smokers.

The percentage of five to nine year olds lighting up increased from 0.4 per cent in 2001 to 2.8 per cent in 2004, the agency reported.
