The world might be rooting for Bollywood's newest couple, but a set of leaked photos appear to have hit the brakes on Ranbir and Katrina's fledging relationship, with Katrina paying the penalty for the deemed faux pas!
It took Psy a brilliantly stylized music video to shoot to record-busting fame; Dhanush shot to the inner circles of Internet fame on the wings of Kolaveri Di; but when it came to Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, a leisurely stroll down a Spanish beach was all it took for them to be immortalized in the virtual world.
After several months of relentless are-they-aren't-they debates, Ranbir & Katrina laid all the heated buzz and speculation to rest in one fell stroke when photographs of the duo turning up the heat on a beach in Ibiza hit the waves - A move that is apparently listed as unforgivable in the senior Kapoors' dictionary. The leaked pictures might have painted a rosy picture of the young couple, however all coziness appears to have ended as Ranbir's parents have taken the recent media blitz pretty hard, with some reports going as far as to suggest that Rishi Kapoor has forbidden Katrina from frequenting their house.
And Rishi Kapoor isn't the only one left miffed. A friend close to the Indo-British actress has informed the press, “She blames herself entirely for what happened. She feels she should not have worn a bikini on a crowded beach. The minute she saw Indians on the beach she regretted being so relaxed and casual even if on a private holiday.”
The understandably upset diva then took to penning an open letter in The Times Of India, in which she calls out the sneakiness of the act, "The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain. There is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behavior."
